Starting off another week

Well, at least Monday is over. It was a rough day at work and then a rough night with Benjamin. He is such a little boy of habit and routine. Having a weekend where he was off his schedule has thrown him into a tailspin which bled into his day today. He was crabby at daycare and then again tonight. I think he is teething again which adds to his mood, his molars are coming in.
However, once we got home, fought through the crabbiness (his and mine!), we found that Phil had cleaned the whole house for us and it made us both a little happier. After Ben's bath tonight, he switched from crabby to silly. He ate dinner with us and then just goofed around in the kitchen.
He got in my car after daycare and the first word was "Granpa?????" I tried to explain that he went home on the airplane....but I don't think the message was understood.
It was nice to have another set of hands around with Dad here - someone else to entertain Ben while I got dinner or whatever. We will have to do this Grandparent visit thing more often, they are handy to have around:)

The weekend went toooooo fast

What fun we had with Grandpa this weekend. The weather was also fantastic and clear so we could really see all the great views. We have just had a great time. We got into the city on Saturday for a little while and went to Pike Market, and also went out and saw Snoqualmie Falls. Dad really enjoyed the market, we picked up some of the beautiful flowers (tulips) and Dad also picked up some HUGE Shrimp, Huge Scallops and Salmon and made an amazing dinner. It was the best meal we have had in a long time.
Benjamin has had a great time with Grandpa. From when he walked in the door, Ben ran to him with his arms out "GranPa!", Benjamin has been hanging on Grandpa all weekend. They have played with toys, read books, taken a walk and found a new rock rolling game and have just loved spending time with one another. It will be a sad day tomorrow when he goes back to Michigan. We will miss you very much Grandpa:) Come back soon!

Such a funny boy!

Today was a great day for Ben. He was so happy and silly tonight, I love nights like that. He is so goofy and he loves to make us laugh. He is the king of animal noises and it getting pretty good at making all the motions that go along with them ( He does a killer monkey imitation:)). He had a great day at school today, he loves painting and anything that he can do to get dirty. Go figure:)
I am sure that next week we will have a hard time getting him back to normal after a weekend of all the spoiling he will get from Grandpa this weekend. But we can not wait!

Dad comes in 2 days!

Only 2 days until Dad comes to visit! Yeah! We are very excited to have dad come and visit and Benjamin is very excited to see "GanPa". We are hoping that the weather clears up for at least a day of his visit, but as of now it doesn't look promising. Those of you who have come out here when it was sunny and clear will have to verify that there are huge mountains behind the clouds:).

No more baby....

Well, today was the day for Benjamin that was a huge event in his little life! It was the one that really made me realize - wow, he is no longer a baby in any way, he is getting to be more of a big boy every day. He went pee on the potty. Now I sadly did not witness this historic event, but his daycare teachers gave him the appropriate Hi-5 and Big Bird Sticker.
He is feeling a little better today, after 12 hours of good sleep last night I think his body is getting back to normal. Though I think his whining is going to send Phil over the edge some days. His vocabulary is picking up every day, which is great. Today we could not leave the daycare until he pointed to everything in the lobby and said it's name (Chair, table, etc....).
He is still our little puzzle genius and has gotten good at building tall towers with dad and then dancing around them and shaking his booty until he gets close enough to the tower to knock it down. He can sometimes be a strange little boy - I figure this comes from Phils genes:)
