Ben and Madison

Is the holiday weekend really over already? Boy it went by fast!
It was a nice weekend, not too busy which was the nice part:) Saturday, Janell and I took Ben and Madison to the Picture People to get their pictures done. They turned out really nice of both kids and we made it through without tears from either of them. What a feat!
We went to a neighborhood BBQ on Saturday in the cold and the rain - what happened to those 80 degree days last week!!!
Sunday we went to the neighbors for dinner which was nice. Janell's parents are in town and Ben loves to hang out with her mom - it is nice for him to have someone else to play with! Makes me even more excited to go home and spend time with the family:)
Janell's dad made a"Rocking Elephant" for kids to ride that the have in Madison's room, which Benjamin loves. He woke up from his nap today and asked to go over and ride the elephant. So we headed back over and he had fun pulling out all of Madison's toys! Here is a picture of him riding the elephant, what fun! Also, we let him hold Madison in the chair, and he was very gentle and sweet. He did not want to let her go, he loved to "Help" take care of her! She is such a sweet little girl and toleterated it very well:) What a sweetie she is (And yes, the binki will be gone soon...We hope!)
We also are very excited to go home this week to meet the newest addition to our extended family - Reagan Elizabeth Labelle was born on Friday, May 26th. She is just so sweet and I can not wait to meet her! Ben will have another baby to hold:) He will be a pro!

Big Boy Bed and Roses!

We have moved Ben into a Big Boy Bed and he loves it. To our surprise, he has not tried to get out bed yet... I am waiting for the reality to set in for him that all he has to do it hop out, but glad that it has not happened yet. He was so proud of his new bed that he told everyone at school the next day, most of the kids were like, "Seriously, I have been in a big kid bed for months now", but Ben was still as proud as can be.
Here are some beatuful roses that Phil brought home today for me "just becuase!" He is so sweet and I am so very lucky!
Lastly, after my weekend in Portland last week, I brought Phil home back a small bottle of yager and scotch - Ben thought they were both gifts for him and had fun playing with the bottles...for a short while:)
Only one week until we get to come home - YEAH:) Can't wait!

Great Mother's Day

We had the best Mother's Day I could have hoped for! Benjamin had a great day, we played, had lots of family time and went to the Zoo and out to dinner. We were all exhausted by the time we went home. Our neighbors spent the afternoon with us, and it was so nice to all go out together. Benjamin also got to feed a Llama apples and it was so cute, he loved it and the llama would eat right from his fingers!

Almost a 5 hour nap!!!!

We had a great day today, but Ben was so tired after a long week at daycare, that he napped for almost 5 hours this afternoon! Wow! We could not believe it.
We had fun today, this morning we went to our monthly playgroup in the neighborhood and Ben loved playing with all his friends.
Then, after his long nap, we had friends over for dinner and Ben got lots of attention tonight, which is always a favorite of his.
Before bed, Ben and daddy read books, and sang songs (Lots and lots of songs:))!

Choo Choo Truck?

It is so cute, Ben loves his trains, but he calls them Choo Choo Trucks instead of Choo Choo Trains. It is so cute:) You can see he had his haircut today, I had forgotten how old he looks each time he gets his hair cut. He is getting so big.... Here is Ben and daddy playing trains tonight before bed. He loves his time with his daddy so much:)
